Terms of use

These terms govern your use of playset.cards (the "Site") and your interaction with the Playset program deployed on the Solana blockchain (the "Protocol"), both offered by Shyguy LLC, an Idaho limited liability company ("we", "us"). By using the Site or sending a transaction to the Protocol you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use either.

1. What the Site and the Protocol are

The Site is a read-only interface: it reads public data from the Solana blockchain and displays it. It does not hold funds, keys or accounts, and does not request wallet connections, signatures or transactions. The Protocol is autonomous software on a public blockchain. Interacting with it — depositing a card, buying or selling units, committing a pull, naming a card, withdrawing shares — is something you do yourself, with your own wallet, at your own instruction. We do not execute transactions on your behalf and cannot reverse them.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter these terms. You may not use the Site or the Protocol if you are located in, organised in or a resident of a jurisdiction where doing so is unlawful, or if you are a person or entity subject to sanctions administered by the United States or the jurisdiction you are in. You are responsible for knowing and complying with the laws that apply to you, including tax obligations.

3. Units, shares and cards

A unit is a fungible token minted by the Protocol against a graded card held in a pool's vault, at a weight derived from a published daily comparable-sales table. A share records a depositor's pro-rata claim on a pool's unsold units, free SOL and fees. Neither is an equity interest in, debt of, or claim against Shyguy LLC. Units and shares are claims on vaulted goods and on the pool's own balances as defined by the Protocol's code, and nothing more. We make no representation that units, shares or cards will hold or gain value.

The physical cards are custodied by a third party (Collector Crypt) and represented on Solana by that party's tokens. We do not custody cards. Redemption of a card from the Protocol delivers that party's token; the physical card remains subject to that party's own terms, including its ability to freeze, move or burn its tokens.

4. The weigh-in

Weights are assigned by an attestor key we operate, from a comparable-sales table published daily at /weights/ under the method described at WEIGH-IN.md. The table is signed and published before any deposit uses it, and each deposit records its day on chain. We aim for accuracy; we do not guarantee it. A comp is an estimate from historical sales, not a price at which any card will sell. We may decline to weigh a card in on any day.

5. Fees

The Protocol charges the fees recorded in its on-chain configuration and displayed on the pool page: a fee on every swap, split between shares and the house; a premium on named takes, burned; and a house cut on every pull and named take. These may change within the caps written into the program; the chain shows when. Network fees are paid to Solana validators and are not ours.

6. No advice, no warranty

Nothing on the Site is investment, financial, legal or tax advice. The Site and the Protocol are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy or uninterrupted operation. Blockchains, wallets, RPC providers and custodians are outside our control.

7. Risks

Using the Protocol carries real risk, including total loss. Read the risk disclosure; it is part of these terms.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shyguy LLC and its members, managers, employees and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost tokens, lost cards or lost data, arising from or related to the Site or the Protocol, however caused. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; where they do not apply, our liability is limited to the extent the law allows.

9. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site or the Protocol, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

10. Intellectual property and third parties

The Site's design, text and marks are ours. The Protocol's source is published under its repository's licence. Card images on the pool page are Collector Crypt's and are credited there. Pokémon, PSA, Collector Crypt and other names are trademarks of their owners; we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them.

11. Changes and termination

We may change these terms by posting a new version here with a new date. We may change, pause or stop the Site at any time. The Protocol's own rules — in particular that redemption can never be paused — are enforced by its code, not by these terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Ada County, Idaho, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in force.
